Disproving religion is shooting fish in a barrel.

I find that many Atheists purposely go out their way to attack religion either to feel superiority, or that they simply don’t understand what religion is about.

Strange that this video advocates the adoption of a certain way of thinking, namely “scientific”; yet is not conducted in anything reminiscent of that discipline; ie we just get a kind of patchwork of false irrelevant analogies with no attempt to define the terms involved, far less question long held associative, as opposed to true, notions regarding them. We should not rabble rouse bigotry to strive for a truly civilised culture, especially if such is not possible anyway.

    to the video,
Do not say religon is aginst science , IF!! you read quran you will know that the first verse came to muhammed was READ ! islam always encouraged learning ..the main prob is u people judge religons by people actions ..using religons for power and control dose not mean god dose not exsist ..NO RELATION !! science also can never prove there is no god scince it couldn’t prove our exsitance ..lol nature cause is less logical than religon if u use your brain

Great vid, true evidence can be seen today the Pope Darth Benedict acknowledges the possibility of ALiens and wants to matter studied. He would have been burned at the stake 400 years ago for that.

I agree. Religion can be a tool for an evil or for good. Some people use religion to justify their crimes, but some people can become more moral because of religion. I prefer to be an atheist because for me religion is the way too restrictive. The thought that there is a God who mess up with our lives and whose will we should abide, makes me depressed.

yeah, a lot of truth in a humorous manner! I like your vids and I share your views! Keep posting vids!

What do these nice evangelicals do to set them selves above the bad ones? Again, there are no absolutes, but would the nice ones speak up if their minister at church started judging and condemning? Casting stones? What have they done to show their outrage for groups like the Phelps who protest at soldiers funerals?
Can one be moral if they do nothing?

“How does the belief in evolution clash with the belief in the Judeo-Christian deity?”
Not a question for me, but a lot of Christians would disagree with you. All I can tell you is the people who deny evolution, use religion to do it. Most of the leading scientist in the world don’t believe in a personal God therefore believe in evolution.
There are very few absolutes, but if I was a betting man, I would always beet on the evangelical denouncing evolution.

How does the belief in evolution clash with the belief in the Judeo-Christian deity?

Kennith Miller, one of leading advocates of Evolution, is a very religious Roman Catholic. Belief in Evolution is not theoretically completely incompatible with the Christian faith nor many other religious faiths.

Good job at being a discriminatory fool because of course ALL fundamentalists revel in viciousness right? My family is composed of fundamental Christians, yet they aren’t anything you describe them as. Stop generalizing religious men with certain negative attributes because they most certainly DO NOT apply to EVERY religious person.

  15. joethemoproductionson 22 Nov 2009 at 4:40 am

Not to nit pick, but I don’t think fear of death is the main reason people are fundamentalists. My experience has led me to believe that viciousness is the main appeal. When a muslim or christian talks about those who are going to hell, they look unbelievably content. Burning heretics, murdering Jews, bashing and killing gays are what appeals to these animals.

Thus, the more protections for the persecuted groups the less power fundamentalist animals have.

  16. joethemoproductionson 22 Nov 2009 at 4:40 am

    Great Video.

However, I disagree slightly. I think the main appeal of fundamentalist religion is its viciousness. My experience with fundamentalists, whether christian or muslim, is that they revel in the oppression, persecution, and violence directed at anyone who offends their sensibilities. If there were no one to condemn they would be lost. Just a point to consider.

Again, thanks for a great video.

So this presupposes that religious people are always happy and incapable of thinking. So they be denied rights such as being able to bear arms or vote?

Oh yeah, scientific progressive that’s the new meta skeleton key.

This channel fails to amuse me. Go team BRIGHTS!

You do realize that there is evidence for spiritual energy right? Research it for yourself.

KingRadbadical, The 3 msg’s you remove, but showed up in my mail box… Most of MY friend are religious and Christian. I never said ALL of any group. I never said one religion was more or less anything compared to an other. Atheist DO NOT have organized groups to demean and harm religious groups, but there are many religious groups who’s goal is to demean or harm gays, here is a list of some of the worst: (cont)

  23. KingRadbadical1988on 22 Nov 2009 at 4:40 am

Well I also believe in the POSSIBILITY of some Biblical events taking place, and some Christians seem quite reasonable to me, but the whole “man in the sky watching you/looking for excuses to burn you forever” thing, again, just a little TOO far, but that doesn’t mean ALL Christians spend ALL their time roaming the streets looking for gay people to annoy, atleast not since atheistic thinkin-folk who majorly improved the world in the 1700′s made them realize “lets not burn these people anymore”

  24. KingRadbadical1988on 22 Nov 2009 at 4:40 am

So yeah, I believe in a POSSIBLE spiritual energy as energy is something real, however agree to disagree because I don’t think we should go too far with that theory, the problem is too many people take it TOO FAR and it winds up being a story about some guy in the clouds watching your EVERY SINGLE MOVE who’s just waiting for you to jerk off or for some chick to kiss another chick (drools) so he can burn you for all eternity. Let’s reflect, have healthy debate, but don’t take it too far.

  25. Bayhuntron 22 Nov 2009 at 4:40 am

You’re right, I should have specifically said belief in a Christian god. The concept of a spiritual energy of some type is much more palatable, still, other then wanting there to be something, is there a reason? I think it is very understandable to want there to be something greater then us, especially in the culture we have been brought up in. I see the capacity to be greater in us, but it is a long shot with so much nastiness to over come.
