I finally get it. This by far the best way to create arpegiation in logic. I wonder if it would work the same using chord memorizer.

very helpful. and you are a very clear and detailed teacher. i thought the zoom was distractingly close though. had a hard time understanding where things were in relationship because it was all so close. but it was a good video, and thanks for helping, i’m just offering my suggestion to pull back the zoom a little bit. thanks!

The arpeggiator needs timing to know how to arpeggiate; you have to be either recording or press play to have it arpeggiate!

    Hey Dave,

So I followed your steps, but the Arpeggiator only works when I am in record mode. When I play my midi keyboard while i’m not recording, it does not arpeggiate. Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    William

Any idea how to convert rnpn data to cc in logic environement??

  9. pablopablopablo22on 22 Nov 2009 at 10:05 pm

i dont understand why you need an arpeggiator if you can just draw in arpeggio-d notes in the piano roll, or play them on your keyboard.
    handy, sorta. essential, no.

    you are awesome.

it’s just like adding an additional “recognize” function in the midi flow. Otherwise, logic will just interpret the input “as is”.

playing with yahoo pipes works too :)

can you create a midi control for the ‘switcher?’

Beautiful. I’ve been looking for a way to arp a VSTi Juno 60 for the longest time just like my hardware one. Is there any way to make the arpeggiator variable speed in real time?

  20. cirex00on 22 Nov 2009 at 10:05 pm

So the only way to arp. an inst. is when you hit play?! even when i did the cabelswitcher thing it did not ar. until i hit play :( ..

    Great video,

i’ve got a problem with logic:
when u are working on a project you’ll have several instrumnets and each of them will have some effects on them, my problem is the instruments that i dont have effects on will have alot of empty effect slots.how do i remove the empty slots? anyone!?
