I real smart cookie. Look at Julio Cesar Chavez. That guy could have earned millions more, just like Delahoya if he would have taken the time to learn English.
He does his best to communicate in English and never ask for translator. I admire him a lot for his courage to face English-speaking media. Most Pinoys speak their dialect(s) at home, Tagalog, little Spanish, English and even Canadian.
For someone who dropped out of school after the 6th grade then diligently worked hard at attaining his high school diploma just a couple of years ago, I think we need to give Manny Pacquiao more credit when it comes to his English…it’s basically his 3rd language. Plus, Pacquiao would rather let his fists do the talking.
first of all — mario lopez — another nice guy, such a cutie!!
secondly, manny — great guy. you make your parents proud! your parents raised you right! you work hard but you dont forget GOD. that is the most important!! keep the faith! pass it to your kids!!
winning, fame all fade, but you have your character, your faith.
Just realized how deeply Pacquiao has integrated his spirituality into his profession. He does sound like a Catholic Filipino version of Bruce Lee here. And he’s keenly aware of the weight of his responsibilities, as the bearer of a whole race’s secret hopes. (Now that’s what I call pressure!) Notice how he always talks about it. Big contrast to the other boxers, who have the luxury of talking about nothing else but themselves.
thats the one all the fighters lacking,,, its spiritual training…They thought its all physical………….so mayweather, DLH and Hatton and all the rest just kissed the canvass..
actually any of the phillipine languages can be a language on its own but the main reason tagalog was picked to be the national language was eeessseee too pronounce.

why youre all pissed with his English? Hes a BOXER, not an english public speaker. His gloves do the the talking. That english is just his icing.
