Dave Allen was one of the greatest ever Irish comedians. He had the gift of the great storyteller. His comic timing was impeccable. The term genius is an overworked term these days but in Dave Allen’s case it is a mantle that he richly deserves. Comics of his stature are sadly lacking these days.
Hmm – worse than that, he goes around drowning entire populations on a whim and then kills the children of an entire nation because of the actions of its leader (while not killing the leader himself, funnily enough). Then, sadistically, he demands this event be celebrated every year.
