I don’t agree with you but perhaps you would like to elaborate more by giving examples of Hitchen’s “lack of logic”

  4. alexander92648on 06 Dec 2009 at 6:53 pm

Lack of logic and reason?! The reason people listen to what he has to say is because his arugument are EXTREMELY logical and well thought out. your mom eats assholes btw…

  5. BillKiernanon 06 Dec 2009 at 6:53 pm

can you provide some examples if this supposed lack of logic? i don’t want to be a sheep so i’d like to hash it out a bit.

Hitchens OWNS all of the money and belongings he gains from the duped masses of atheists that follow him like bobbleheaded lemmings.

    0 x 0 = Atheism.

It’s laughable seeing atheists following a preacher like Hitchens, just the same way as any other mesmerized mob.

  10. funkaliciouszon 06 Dec 2009 at 6:53 pm

your argument reeks of desperation. clearly, everyone, this is a perfect example of someone who knows they are losing, and are thus lashing out.

  11. HigHDescenT44on 06 Dec 2009 at 6:53 pm

your exactly correct except our mob isnt full of lies, kills in our leaders name, never makes mistakes, but apologizes for them decades later, and other far worse crimes that the theist mob does. So what exactly is laughable?? because in religion

0 x 0 = whatever your god says it is and no questions asked…

  12. czechreckon 06 Dec 2009 at 6:53 pm

AAAAAAAAAAAAhahahahhahaa…. You must be thinking of Ray Comfort.
You see people who think for themselves would out class a sheep any day of the week.
You think Atheists give money to any type of organization?
    Cunt.
    LOL.

I was refering to the establishment of christianity as the official religion by the Roman’s, not it’s ultimate origin.

    @AskWhyNow2day

Your statement made me frown a bit. I enjoy his talks because of his wit and logic. I’ve never given a penny to him though I have bought one of Dawkins’ books. Now in church I was told to pay once a week and I started with a dime every Sunday at age 9 that worked up towards $3 by 15.

Atheists think without the constraints of religion and can criticize Hitchens like anything else. They don’t follow him, he simply reinforces what they think and helps in dinner table conversation.

  15. KajitheFireon 06 Dec 2009 at 6:53 pm

It seems laughable that a religious man ( I say this towards all religions ) is willing to blindly follow a man who says he has connections with an invisible, non-existent, pugnacious bully. Hitchens has all this money huh? What about Joel Olsteen, or Tony Alamo and many others. Your points are ignorant and misconstrued.

  16. rcelwayon 06 Dec 2009 at 6:53 pm

What your paragraph wasn’t even cohesive! What the hell are you talking about.?

  17. Vegasgodlesson 06 Dec 2009 at 6:53 pm

The Vatican has billions of dollars worth in art, they print their own fucking money, it’s a state, in Italy, has it’s own stamp, and it’s not bound by the laws of Italy, and you think Hitchens owns anything? LOL while many go hungry and support these rich assholes in the Vatican, the hordes of imbecile idiots who follow the bullshit that is Catholicism. A religion outperforms any atheist on wealth, power, and influence.

What’s with the stupid noise in the background?

Very distracting. Is there a version of this debate without it?

Always great to listen to Hitchens, one of the most articulate men on the planet.

  19. AcidLady85on 06 Dec 2009 at 6:53 pm

AskWhyNow2day: The same argument can be said for christianity, or any other religion. What is your point?

  20. UnitedBoholon 06 Dec 2009 at 6:53 pm

    askwhy:
im a christian..u know what hitchens is right

  21. AskWhyNow2dayon 06 Dec 2009 at 6:53 pm

Jesus did not start a religion. Hitchens is shallow in his knowledge of what Christians have done since the resurrection.

He’s good at sounding impressive. A lot of Brits do. Their country is a joke. It’s history even more so.

The Apostles were not europeans. It’s not surprising that the ueropeans ruined the teachings of Jesus.

  22. Asiatranceboyon 06 Dec 2009 at 6:53 pm

AskWhyNow2day: few people know more abt the subject than Hitchens, he has debated many high-ranking Christian clerics (who would be expected to know more than him – NOT) with great clarity and force of reasoning, usually far outmatching his opponents

Pray tell by what standards do you define a country or its history to be a joke? Sounds like a silly argument of a 3 year old

Since the apostles weren’t Americans either does that imply anything abt what Americans are doing with Jesus’ teachings?

  23. shade1978xon 06 Dec 2009 at 6:53 pm

Hilariously ironic that a religionist would make such an accusation of people who have no religion. If “mesmerized mob” could somehow be definitively illustrated, they’d all be holding Bibles.

Atheists existed before anyone became vocal against religion. Religion didn’t exist before the preachers. The preachers are the cause of religious fervor, atheism requires no one to support or defend its ideas. Its ideas are the default position. Everyone is an atheist until you’re taught a religion.

  24. edtExoduson 06 Dec 2009 at 6:53 pm

“Their country is a joke. It’s history even more so.”

The United States don’t even have history. We have houses older than your entire country here. Talk about a country being a joke….

I’m not one to point fingers at other nations, but arrogant brats like you should remember that you indeed are upstarts. Your military supremacy (which is the only supremacy you have) is based on european weapon technology (Rheinmetall rings a bell?) Stop throwing stones when you sit in the glass house.

  25. pulrhon 06 Dec 2009 at 6:53 pm

I’m an Athiest and think Hitchen’s is great, BUT, I notice that, when addressing US audiences, he often refers to the Founding Fathers (and what he claims they believed in) to garner support for his point of view. Is he playing to the gallery in the same way that a priest might refer to Jesus (for example) as an autority thatshouldn’t be questioned when addressing a Christian audience?

In short, does he use the same tactics that relgious folk have done for centuries? And, is he aware of this?
