yeah….a simpleton like you would appreciate a speech like that.

  5. ElephantRageon 29 Oct 2009 at 5:29 am

I agree but you oughta pay some fucking respect to the man

  6. ElephantRageon 29 Oct 2009 at 5:29 am

i do really respect his struggles and have a lot of simpathy for a man who just could not find his place on this place we call Earth but he said exactly nothing over and over again. He probably had a lot inside but had no tools to express them. And that’s even sadder.

Evan’s speech is moving, but it pales in comparison to Brock’s heart-warming speech where he said he pulled a horseshoe out of frank’s ass and he’s going to get on top of his wife and drink a coors light not a bud light cuz they won’t pay him nothin’!

  9. laxpolon 29 Oct 2009 at 5:29 am

he said the same thing (nothing) over and over. “it’s not about me, having the belt is a platform, things need to change….” blah blah.
WHAT *EXACTLY* DID HE WANT DONE?!?!

Great fighter & a deep soul. Such a shame you couldn’t conquer those inner demons. Evan Tanner may you finally find peace.

    God bless.

  15. HHDVon 29 Oct 2009 at 5:29 am

He kept talking about what he was going to say, then by the time he said it it was a bunch of cliche sentiment without any original ideas, as to how to change anything or even, specifically, what he wanted!!!!

All this shows is that he is disassociated, alcohol addled, depressed, the type of insights you should have when you’re 80 and ready to die…

  16. HHDVon 29 Oct 2009 at 5:29 am

Yeah, so what, He saw the “Into The Wild” movie about the other guy who went mental, and he did the same… I agree with the ideas but the answer is @ ww w . thevenusproject.c om or maybe in stuff like Zeitgeist II, not this crap…

  17. anjiujitsuon 29 Oct 2009 at 5:29 am

AWESOME!! Let’s spread his words forever! Thanks, Evan.

Pouring out a 40oz of water for you, that you could have used.

  19. TIAGroupon 29 Oct 2009 at 5:29 am

    RIP EVAN…..

  20. RaikiriBLaZEon 29 Oct 2009 at 5:29 am

really he set a great example for upcoming fighters. and this is a big reason why brock lesnar only hurts the sport, because he has the platform where is voice can easily be heard. something a guy like Tanner looked for reasons beyond being the top guy, only proud in himself for what he can do for himself.

I really hope there are guys wanting to enter this sport who follow better examples in generations to come. It will only be for the better in MMA…
