Its freeroaming, you can go round and do whatever you want – its one continuous mission.

um games are meant to have missions. GTA is a awesome example of how free play works… however batman randomly doing shit in a city… not so good. I do believe you can freely run around arkham after you beat the ‘campaign’

its more of a straight mission game but you can explore previous areas in the game with new gadgets you get and you can go all over the island and get on top of buildings. But if you want to get new gadgets and items you have to do missions which are pretty fun.
