Her name is Johnette Napolitano. She played in a band called Concrete Blonde.

Absolutely, after listening to many BR tunes, I have come to see that there is a significant amount of intelligent content in the lyrics. Integrating intelligence and punk music has changed my thinking and attitude towards punk. The “regular guy” deal lends a different spin also.

They are a great band and I am so happy to have reconnected with BR. It’s all good !

    What a GREAT band !

Hi, smee again, come to think about it, I believe most hardcore BR fans are more intelligent than ur average punk fan. I think that if it was up to us, there would be no more religious wars, racism, politicians, hunger (that was stretching it a bit far…. LOL). Anyways, there are bands out there, and then there are BANDS! Greg as President!!! (PS, I’m not a U.S. citizen).

I’m 38 and I’ve listened to BR since 83-84, can’t remember excactly when? Got a BR tattoo on my underarm 10 years ago, and to tell the truth, BR for me is not a band, it’s a way of life. I’m not a small-minded twat, no – family with two kids, but I just have this fk’n love to BR and their lyrics, music in general. I was actually up on stage in Zurich in 07 and sang live ‘The voice of God’ in front of 5-600 hundred…. Thanks, Stig

Welcome to the fold,Brother! What I’ve luved about them all these years (besides there meaning-ful lyrics and range of musical styles, energy!) is that they look like walking thrift-stores! Reg, joe clothes,long-hair, balding (lol). They havent givin a shite about the whole stereotypical punk look. I dont need a band with blue hair but one with intelligent intent. Enjoy the ride man!

This song in particular shows their musical genius. Listen to the perfection of 2.46.

Greg is a Fucking GENIUS. So much so that I sometimes need a dictionary to understand some of the words he uses in his songs. Just goes to show how much a loser I am XD.
